Roatan Yacht Club - French Harbor

Image
The Yacht club opened up a few months ago from Covid.  We met a new friend there for lunch.  It's a little upper class than we usually try.  They served water in goblets.  Greg ordered the Tequila shrimp tacos and I ordered the pasta fettucine.  Greg said his was good, you get a large plate with 4 little tacos, my pasta was good, but very oily.  When I was done there was at least a 1/4 inch of oil on the bottom of the dish.  This won't make it to the top of our list.

Fort Consolation - Coxen Hole

Fort Consolation used to be an old fort that turned into a restaurant.  When we first moved here, it had been closed and for sale.  Now it's a restaurant and on certain days of the month they host a craft fair.  We stopped for lunch and really enjoyed it.  The restaurant was upstairs with a great view of the harbor.  Today there was only one cruise ship in this port. ( I've seen as many as 3 in one day.) I ordered the Chicken Fajita Plate ($12) and Greg ordered the Greek Shrimp Pita with french fries ($12).   The food was good and we will probably go back when they have their 2 for $25 pizzas, although I don't know what we are going to do with all that pizza.  They do have room for improvement.  The shrimp pita was supposed to come with shrimp, olives, feta cheese and lettuce, they forgot the feta cheese.  The french fries were the standard ones you can buy in bulk.  My CHICKEN Fajita came with a small side of refried beans and pico de gallo and 3 very small flour tortilla
