 Sorry everyone, I didn't realize it's been 6 months from my last post.  Shame on me.  I'll try to do better.

I stopped at a little cafe off the road from Coxen Hole to Flowers Bay.  It's a cute little place with outdoor seating.  I was very surprised at the size of their menu.  They had a lot of options.  I chose the nachos and my friend Mellie ordered the BBQ Wings.

My nachos were good.  You have a choice of meat, I picked steak since it was the same price as chicken.  There was cheese, steak, onions, tomatoes, avocado and their special white garlic aioli sauce.  It had a great flavor to it.  

Mellie wasn't crazy about the bbq sauce, but I liked it, I had a sample of her wings.  



My friend Mellie is starting her own cleaning business and I'm trying to help her.

 Sandy Bay takes up a lot of area on the west side of the island.  Part of that includes the exclusive subdivision of Lawson Rock.  They have a condo building with a deli/market inside.  We've driven past hundreds of times and finally decided to check it out.  It's a cute little deli that serves breakfast and lunch.  They also sell meats and cheeses like an old fashioned deli, plus gifts! We ordered the lunch specials.  One Lasagna plate with salad and the other was their chicken & rice dish that was served with a side of coleslaw (odd combination).  Both were delicious!  The lasagna was $10 and the chicken/rice was $7.20.   We'll be back!

Queen Restaurant

 There is a shopping center in French Harbor called Mega Plaza.  It has a few different shops including something equivalent to the Dollar store - called DeTodo, a Payless Shoe store - yes a USA store, a couple of banks, some food places, a furniture/appliance/household store called Lady Lee - according to my realtor the best place to buy furniture.  We bought a new fridge and a new reclining couch, and a couple of other things.  The prices were very good, but I'm digressing from the Title. lol Queen Restaurant is in this Mega Plaza, the reviews on Trip Advisor was a 4.3 out of 5 so we decided to try it.  The prices are good, the hamburgers with french fries start at $5.  Greg ordered the chicken strips and french fries, I decided to be brave and try the Fajita plate.  Never have I ever had Fajitas on plantains.  Plantains look like bananas, but have less sugar and less flavor so they fry them like french fries.  When they are fried they don'...

Bad Ass Java - West End

 This is a great place for all you coffee lovers.  They have a bunch of different coffee drinks and they sell their own roasted coffee for $16 a lb.    I don't drink coffee so the only reason we tried this place is Greg won a free lunch there.  He received a drink, sandwich and dessert from a radio contest.  Funny thing about the sandwich  - they only have 1 Yes that's right - 1 (ONE) sandwich.  It's a Panini and you have your choice of 1 meat and one cheese for $8.  You can add on extra meat for another $2 - I would recommend this.  The sandwich comes with meat, cheese and a mayo/pesto sauce.  That's it.  No lettuce, tomatoes or anything else. Greg said his iced coffee was good.
